Self Portrait + drawings

Howdy,
Here is a self portrait from painting class, and a couple detail shots of it. It was done with a palette knife only and every color is different, although some colors might look similar - they were all mixed differently. A stipulation of the self portrait assignment was that we couldn't draw it out before hand and every mark had to be relatively in the same direction, I had a lot of fun!

The rest of these are some recent drawings from life and imagination..

Paintings and Illustrations

So I am going to try and start to post more finished projects opposed to so much sketchbook stuff, but I will be posting sb stuff as well. Here are four paintings from my painting class. They are from life and done with oil on stonehenge paper. Each one is about an 1 & 1/2 hours study done outside the art building at Texas State. Below those are semi-recent illustrations I have been doing for The University Star here in San Marcos. Right now I got some commissions I have been working on which I will post once they are done. This year going pretty well so far and I am stoked for future projects to come!
Thanks for lurkin'
